    That's right, you've fought with the altimeter, tweaked and adjusted the cadence sensor, FINALLY figured how to turn on/off the lap function, set up the screen display as you like and AND THEN THE SUN GOES EVIL

    They are an unreliable pile of junk. I know of very few tech devices where the consumers would be prepared to pay so much for such a poor level of reliability.
    Cyclists are dumb.

    I have only had mine a couple of months but no problems at all... it is a forerunner tho'

    Ah, it's been more-a-less fine TBH - no lock ups, freezes or lost data so far. Having to leave the device acclimatize to get the best out of the altimeter is a PITA though...
    actually going back to normal we have been in a particularly quiet phase of solar activity

    Right so normal = reduced accuracy GPS.... damn it!!

    In fairness BBC make it menacing enough looking

    Which leads to Triffids, + poor GPS accuracy = certain doom
