came accross this while reading the biz section in the sindo looks like BA are using the pre clearance in SNN to offer biz pax flights from london city to jfk via the fuel stop over in SNN i wonder will other carriers follow?

The problem there might be the customs clearance. Potentially, you'd have to unload and reload everything.

not really as the pax would have to get off the acft once its been refueled just bring there passports with them go through the US clearance and back on the acft. although i noticed the total travel time including the fuel stop is 9hrs

Yes, they must take all hand luggage with them and also all hold luggage must be offloaded in the event CBP want to inspect it. All hand luggage (and shoes) must be xrayed before going through the new customs and immigration. At least the advantage is there is not many pax...

Its not necessary for pax to be off the aircraft when its being refueled as long as:
-Seat belt sign is not switched on
    -The doors are open
-There are cabin crew on board the aircraft to help with an evacuation

Sorry I learnt this in Jar Ops 1 and wanted to put it into use:)
