Simply stopped working. Changed batteries, un-plugged the box etc - not working, absolutely no red LED light.

Any ideas? If its gone completely, where can I buy a new in Cork city?

Before buying a new one i would advise you to ring customer service.I have a feeling your problem could be easily sorted by them.

If you need it quickly your best bet is argos or a dunnes stores/Tesco which regularly stock them from time to time.

it could just be a 'stuck button'... as they age and get 'sticky' the buttons do have a tendenacy to stick on and therefore prevent the remote from working...try just disturbing gently all the buttons maybe spray with a little pure alcohol this will help clean it .. (dont forget to press the sky button when you have finished)
otherwise lots of tips above where to source a replacement.... not forgetting good old fleabay
    the skyman
