Thanks, what about any other golfing tournament thats on at the minute, ACE Group Classic and Avantha Master? Who do you fancy for those?

would you back golfers to win? its hard to know i suppose

tbh it's a lottery in India,JM Singh is obviously fav,one player i like is Gareth Maybin,i'm not saying he'll win this week but i think he will win a comp this year,25/1,worth a fiver,

regarding betting e/w v win only i'm not sure,
i like to do e/w bets myself but othere's on this forum dissagree,my local gives e/w top 6 every comp so that's why i do it,tbh more often than not if you do e/w your winnings will probably be afected by ties

the seniors tour is not something i bet on every week but this week at 9/1 i'll stick a score win in Langer,Couples is fav and was second a few weeks ago but i just think he misses too many makeable putts,a good outsider could be Joey Sindalar at 66/1,7th last year,

Only 1 player since 1950 has won the event when encountering it for the first time.

    Should be 666/1.

    Forget about it.

thanks for your input,it's not a bad e/w bet in the form that he's in

This will be O'Hair's first event since he suffered a stress fracture to his left forearm in the Sony Open. It has sidelined him till now.

A player to be weary of in this event.

I thought O'Hair was going to miss this event with the injury?

Vijay Singh is trading at 85's to win and 17's for a Top 5 finish on betfair. I know his form isn't great but he is still good enough to win and his record in PB is good, with a win, three 2nds and a 7th, 8th, 10th and 11th. Hopefully will give me some interest on Sunday evening. I've also backed Garcia, Na and very small on Goydos and Brian Davis.

As it’s a pro am there is an element of distraction so I think a good Pro who can interact and still play golf is essential. Huge field so it really is pot luck. For me
    Hunter Mahan @ 45/1
    Nick Watney @ 40/1

Twizzle, how do you know so much detail and stats?
Or are you just getting it from a form guide site?

P Harrington out at 4.55pm our time. Coverage on Sky at 8pm. He will have to shoot a low score for us to see him as the US coverage from the golf channel will be Mickelson / Mickelson / Fowler ad break, Rich Lerner talking Sh*te with Kelly and Sir Nick in tow yawn.............

Kenny G should be given a handicap of 24!!!! By god the amount of bad shots we've seen the guy play tonight.

Edit: Cracking Birdie about 3 holes later!

He's out on course already, so we won't see any of him on the coverage tonight.Par on the first.

He's -2 through the front nine, -5 for the tournament and 3 off the lead held by Johnson.

Harrington's using a Nike ball? Is this news? Tour news is not exactly my forte, but strange give that he was always Titleist and moved to FJ last year?

Thats what I thought, got home there about 15 minutes ago and I've seen him play about 5 shots, going well -7 thru 17, great stuff.

Harrington seems to have lost his FTI sponsorship on his hat. He is now just wearing a normal Wilson Staff hat.

some start for my man Dustin,eagle,par,bird,bird,3 clear but will probably get nabbed tomorrow by one of the chasers

Harrington needed to make a much more significant move yesterday. A 69 leaves him on -9 and 9 shots off the joint lead of Johnson & Guidos. Hopefully he can make a top ten finish and get the confidence up for next weeks WGC.

Duval is -13 thru 5 (-1 today) and has a 3ft putt for eagle on 6

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 717 ✭✭✭jimjo

    Harrington -10 thru 9 T14

Who else thinks this coverage is poor?? So stop start, they haven't shown 10mins of solid golf without a break in play... Times like this BBC (for the little golf they do show) is a god send, no add breaks.

at this stage of the coverage i think they are changing from the golf channel to one of the main networks, that's not to say it's not crap,

speaking of changing i hope Dustin changed his jocks after that really shaky start, once he gets through the turn ahead of Goydos it should be enough.

There not going to show Harrington at all tonight are they? Terrible double by Dustin there..

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,591 ✭✭✭✭Aidric

Harrington needs to pick up another shot to move in to the top ten.

Does anyone want to win this?
Goydos taking on that chip with a 1 shot lead on 14 was about as dumb a shot as I've seen for a while.
