I'd get it sorted ASAP. No airline is gonna accept that when your ticket name doesnt match.

    I agree with sesna.

Work to Rule just means the officers won't take on extra duties. But your request will still be part of the process, it's February so it's not their busiest time.

Show that you presented your other documents with the correct spelling.

They are working to rule, so work is being done (my new passport arrived this morning, and your post prompted me to check for errors).

If I was planning a trip and was worried about turnaround time, I would quite happily travel on a passport with a minor misspelling, something like MySlef56 instead of MySelf56. I'd book tickets with the same form of the name. I would send in the passport for correction when there is a period when I am sure that I wouldn't need it.

Called the passport office in 10/02 at 9:30 am. A nice person applogized adviced me to send the passport with birth cert to Ballbriggen customer care. I did that 10/02 at 13:00, i got my passport today (pressume in the morning) with corrections(re-verified)

That is just lighting speed from passport office!! (an post as well)
    Great service with lightning speed!!
