Second Meteor?

    Hi all, I've never had an interest in astrology but just wanted to share what I saw today and hopefully confirm what it was.

    I was standing at the bus stop in Tallaght this morning (about 06:30) and saw a big green flash of light behind some houses (North-West from where I was).

    There was a bright green vertical line at the bottom and the glow from this spread out in a large circle - high enough to light up a cloud over it.

    It lasted about a second or two and then faded. Here's what I wrote on facebook as soon as I saw it:

    "I just seen this weird green flash light up the sky. It was like a lightning flash but in a smaller space and looked brighter as it got closer to the ground. It was actually like someone turning on a massive light on the ground but it was bright enough to light up a circle of the sky, even a cloud turned green. Never seen anything like it before. I'll try google..."

    When I googled it, people suggested it was a meteor and when I looked into that, I obviously came across a lot of information on the meteor that landed in Cavan/Donegal last week.

    Luckily, I found a thread on here that had a link to this youtube video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K4kgfHrBm-0).

    After seeing this I'm nearly sure this is what I saw (without the fireball!), the colour and brightness of the light was exactly like this.

    I believe I just caught the end of it as it went out of view behind some houses, the bit that I thought looked like someone shining a light up from the ground being the meteor going out of view.

    Another woman at the bus stop also saw it and was amazed. We had a brief discussion and she concluded it was some sort of lightning or aliens :) but now I'd swear it was a meteor.

    Anyone else see this? What do you reckon?
