Don't know if this has been done before but if you could hand pick your own choice of 20 English teams from all the leagues who would you put in. Don't know about anyone else but when a ‘big' team like Leeds or Newcastle(I know they haven't won that much) get relegated, I'm always a bit dissapointed and would always prefar a Wigan or a team with no history to go down.

My list includes a mix of successful teams and some teams that haven't been so successful but I think belong in the premiership.

    1. Manchester United
    2. Manchester City
    3. Arsenal
    4. Chelsea
    5. Liverpool
    6. Everton
    7. Aston Villa

    15.Nottingham Forrest

    17.Portsmouth
    18. West Brom
    19.Derby county
    20.Southampton

Just the one 'r' in Forest. I agree with 19 of your teams there, i would swap Portsmouth for Wolves or Coventry.

Ideally a league with the biggest clubs who have the most support. That way, every game is a relatively big one.

how about splitting the premier league in half at the start of the season.teams play each other 4 times in each half. top 2 of each get champs league places. 3rd place in each gets uefa cup. bottom 1 in each get relegated. 2nd last teams in each half have a play off to see who is the 3rd team to go down. potential winner of each half go into a sort of league final to see who's the best over all. here's my idea more explained below:

lets say the 2 halves finish like this:

    1.man utd(champs league)
    1. chelsea(champs league)
    2.liverpool(champs league)
    2. arsenal(champs league)
    3.Man city(uefa cup)
    3. Spurs(uefa cup)
    4. Villa
    4. everton
    5.birmingham
    5. fulham
    6.stoke
    6.sunderland
    7.blackburn
    7. hull
    8.burnley
    8. bolton
    9.wigan
    9.west ham
    10.wolves(relegated)
    10.portsmouth(relegated)

wigan would play west ham to see who stays up/3rd team to be relegated. one off game at wembley???

man utd play chelsea in league final at wembley to see who is the best over all.???

my reckoning is and correct me if i'm wrong that there would be 2 less games to play over all except if you were in the league final or relegation final then you would have 1 less game to play compared to the 38 games now.

9x4=36 thats without league final or relegation games to be played add 1 for each perspective team in finals which is 37. SIMPLES....well sort of.:pac:

    Or...
We could just put 11 players from each team on a pitch (Prob have to be Wembley), that's (11x20) 220 players. Each player is given only a swiss army knife and a compass, apart from the captain of each team who is given a sawn-off shotgun and a quad bike. Beforehand, each player is blindfolded and told to wander around the pitch for 10 minutes so as no strategic advantage can be gained. When the referee blows his whistle (from a safe distance), the players remove their blindfolds and proceed in a fight to the death with the sole surviving player's team declared the winner of the football.

    Or...
We could just leave it as it is.

Maybe we could change a few of the club names as well (I've always likes Portsmouth Pirates) and ban draws. If the match is even after 90 minutes we could have a 10 minutes MultibaLl period.

Maybe they could also play an extra game each season in Dubai and let Ranhers amd Celtic in.

Yes, I like the sound of this new Budweiser Soccer League.

I've got disillusioned with football recently. As I did with Coca cola a few years back. So I'm not a stickler for tradition. I'd love to see that season for 1 year.

Although I'm adamant that there should be bonus points for 4 goals in a game

not that i'd prefer it but its just an idea. gives the smaller teams ,with all due respect, a chance. maybe the smaller teams would have a better record against one of the top 4 i.e. hates goin to old trafford but but has a better record against say liverpool, arsenal, chelsea or somethin like that. as i said just an idea.

how about splitting the premier league in half at the start of the season.teams play each other 4 times in each half. top 2 of each get champs league places. 3rd place in each gets uefa cup. bottom 1 in each get relegated. 2nd last teams in each half have a play off to see who is the 3rd team to go down. potential winner of each half go into a sort of league final to see who's the best over all. here's my idea more explained below:

lets say the 2 halves finish like this:

    1.man utd(champs league)
    1. chelsea(champs league)
    2.liverpool(champs league)
    2. arsenal(champs league)
    3.Man city(uefa cup)
    3. Spurs(uefa cup)
    4. Villa
    4. everton
    5.birmingham
    5. fulham
    6.stoke
    6.sunderland
    7.blackburn
    7. hull
    8.burnley
    8. bolton
    9.wigan
    9.west ham
    10.wolves(relegated)
    10.portsmouth(relegated)

wigan would play west ham to see who stays up/3rd team to be relegated. one off game at wembley???

man utd play chelsea in league final at wembley to see who is the best over all.???

my reckoning is and correct me if i'm wrong that there would be 2 less games to play over all except if you were in the league final or relegation final then you would have 1 less game to play compared to the 38 games now.

9x4=36 thats without league final or relegation games to be played add 1 for each perspective team in finals which is 37. SIMPLES....well sort of.:pac:

Is somebody a big fan of the structure in American sports ? :)

Some of the teams I would like to see in Prem would be

    Leeds
    Forest
    Derby
    Southampton
    Newcastle
    Norwich
    Shef Wed
    Leicester
    Cardif

    and obviously Harchester United

Trying to structure this so we have as many fierce rivallries and derbies as possible:

    -Man U
    -Man City
    -Liverpool
    -Leeds
    -Arsenal
    -Chelsea
    -West Ham
    -Spurs
    -Everton
    -Aston Villa
    -Birmingham
    -Millwall
    -Newcastle
    -Sunderland
    -Middleborough
    -Portsmouth
    -Southampton
    -Fulham
    -Blackburn
    -Wolves

The crowd trouble there would be interesting to say the least
