VW Polo Washer Water Container Leak

    Hi Guys,

Can anyone advice on the easiest way to access the water container on my 2005 polo ?
It has started leaking and is needing to be filled daily before I leave for work, always empty again in the evening.
As far as I can see the container is crowded in by many of the engine parts and is not easily accessible. And from below I cannot see the container.
If it is a simple fix to a pipe out of place or a crack I do would rather repair it than bring it in to pay for fix.
    Any help appreciated!

Can you see any damp patches on the ground underneath the car? Maybe leave some paper underneath (assuming it's not raining) to see if you can locate where it's leaking. It's probably more likely to be a loose or damaged hose (or maybe the pump?) than the bottle itself leaking.

I don't know where it is exactly on your car but they are often in behind the wings and can require removal of one of the wheels and wheelarch linings to gain access.

    Thanks zilog,
have left it overnight in underground carpark so can tell the leak is coming from if not the water tank itself then close to it. wet patch located on ground right under the where tank is located. it is hopefully a loose hose, problem is they are proving equally difficult to check on also. very cramped area for my fat head to be poking about in.
Will give it another go at locating problem later, just hope it not necessary to go taking the wheel off for access for such a slight issue.
    thanks again
