Cost to install New firebird condensing Boiler

    Hi folks,
Getting my old banjaxed Danfoss boiler replaced at the moment with a firebird condensing boiler (outdoor type with booth). I need a new vacuum pump to be fitted as the bottom half of the oil tank is below the boiler level. I am also putting in new circulation pump. We are getting a new triton power shower fitted to replace an old one which is playing up. The plumber is getting rid of the old appliances, fitting the new appliances, rebalancing the heating system.
The price he is charging is €700. The materials are costing €1700 incl VAT.
As we are doing up the house at the minute and living with relations we have accepted the price as he is available to work straight away.
I think the price is quite reasonable, however family members have said it is too much!!
What is the thinking out there on the labour cost?? Any comments appreciated.
    Thanks. C

Just got quote for boiler, booth & labour of between 3,200 - 3,700...so sounds like you're getting a bargain!

    Hi Hu Deman,
Good luck with that. Do you mind me asking:

    * What size house are you heating?
    * What part of the country are you living?
    * Is that price Net of the "Grant", or can you claim your Grant afterwards?
    * What's involved in building the base?

    Regards,

    Conor

the total cost includes vat. it also includes removal of an internal boiler. placing the new condenser outside.the base was just 1.5m by 1.0m i just wanted it above the ground so i built it two blocks high.the house is just a standard 3 bed bungalow. but i am doing the wiring myself and supplying the stat and clock myself. i hope this helps you, the house is in tipp. goodluck almost forgot i dont have a grant!!
