Not looking for medical advice just need to ask if anybody else has experienced neck pain when only breathing on one side.
Im a runner but im injured at the moment so its 75 lenghts in the pool everyday for the next few weeks. I only breath on one side because I find bi-lateral breathing slows me down big time. I do the odd tri-athlon so when it comes to competition I wouldnt even consider bi-lateral breathing. Getting neck pain though which has resulted in me having a stiff neck and headaches. I was just wondering if anybody else experiences this with unilateral breathing and if so what did you do about it?

Are you doing 75 lenghts straight or in sets? Are you jerking your neck to one side? It should be natural enough to turn your head to one side.

I do 75 lengths straight, no stopping. I breathe every 2nd stroke aswell if that makes any difference.
