Sky Multiroom Existing Customers

I rang Skyireland regarding multiroom prices for existing customers and was quoted the following prices Sky HD Box €249 (don't do sky+box anymore) + €15 per month no HD sub, With HD sub it was €30 + €30 per month. Compared to new Sky customers who only pay €7.50 for Multiroom per month, when I pointed this out to her as being very unfair to existing customers she said she would ring me back 45 minutes later she rang back saying the would reduce the price of the box only, I told her I would only be interested if the monthly payment of €15 was reduced to what new customers were paying. This appears to apply only in the R.O.I .

It is a possibility but Sky dont like it, and if you are doing it, never use the same name.

Also the half price multiroom sub, is for the first 12 months.

Thats correct, but sky are so big they dont even realise, first time i did it i used the same name second time different name but same bank account
for dd.Best thing to do is use a sky agent advertising on the local newspaper they will actually cancell existing contract and start a new one
with all the special offers, you dont lose service also your old box becomes fta.

Sadly they cannot cancel the old account as they do not have the authority to do so.

If you're doing this. do NOT use a local agent. It is fraud and several Agents in Ireland have already been kicked out of Sky for doing this. They take it extremely seriously. Sky have a system in place for scanning cancel and return customers.

    Hi,

Ring up Sky to cancel your contract, follow the prompts on the phone and say why you are cancelling it and that you were a loyal customer and are so disatisfied with the price they gave you for HD multiroom, you are joining NTL.

They don't want to lose customers as it costs more to recruit customers than keep old ones. I got a second sky plus HD box for €50 with free installation.

    Cheers

    Snickers,

    When did you do this?

I rang before Christmas to inquire about the HD upgrade. As I had HD previously ( box was second hand and not subsidised) they would not give me the upgrade at the advertised price.
I went to cancel and was put through to the cancellations dept. in Cork.
No offer from them and I had to cancel !
