Coffee and Wine

As a result of a recent visit to the UK, I thought I might point out some small differences.

Starbucks bags of coffe beans, namely the Sulawesi.

Ireland: €6.25 per bag. Buy Five and get one free.
    Six bags = €31.25
Sheffield: £3.45 per bag. But Two and get one free.
    Six bags = £13.80stg

    Campo Viejo Reserva wine.

    EuroSpar Ballyowen SC Lucan: €14.59
    3 Bottles = €43.77

    Manchester Airport special.
    3 Bottles = £18.00stg

So aside from the differences in cost base for irish businesses and the sterling exchange we are still paying more than twice as much as our UK counterparts.

Incidently, the 'Irish' Starbucks is in fact part of the UK chain and that company control the prices here in Ireland so again the Brits think we're here just to be F***ked up the ass by them. Excuse my language but I am getting a little passionate about this one.
