    whats the process in the uk of becoming an accountant?

    here you have you're cap 1 - 3 and then you're qualified, is it the same over the border? are the uk exams easier/harder?

    if you're qualified in ireland, does that allow you to work in the uk?

    Pretty much identical.

    ACCA and CIMA are UK qualifications.

    ICAI and ICAEW are linked.

    There would be some differences around company law and tax, not many around standards.
