2010 Tramore Inter-Counties Challenge

    The annual Tramore Inter-Counties Challenge competitions will take place on Saturday, April 10th., at O'Shea's Hotel, Tramore, Co. Waterford, in conjunction with the Tramore Spring Festival.
    The Challenge competitions were inaugurated in 2002 and the entries have grown each year with 29 Men's teams {7-a-side}and 19 Ladies' teams {5-a-side} participating in 2009.
    The list of winners is as follows :-
    Men:
    2002 Sligo
    2003 Louth
    2004 Cork
    2005 Cork
    2006 Louth
    2007 Limerick
    2008 Kildare
    2009 Dublin

    Ladies:
    2003 Cork
    2004 Cork
    2005 Cork
    2006 Carlow
    2007 Kildare
    2008 Cork
    2009 Kildare

    Entry forms and rules for the Inter-Counties Challenge competitions are now available.
    The closing date for entries is Wednesday, March 24th.

    The closing date for receipt of entries for the Tramore Inter-Counties Challenge has been extended to Tuesday, April 6th.

    37 teams { 22 Men and 15 Ladies } have entered the 2010 Tramore Inter-Counties Challenge Championships.

    All teams must check-in at 11.00am and first matches will be called at 12 noon.

    Team managers are requested to ensure that their players are respectably attired with matching team shirts.

    Congratulations to Kilkenny on winning the "Tramore Sevens" Inter-Counties Challenge for the first time at O'Shea's Hotel with a 4-2 win over Wexford in the final.
    Also well done to Kildare who retained their title in the Ladies' 5-a-side Challenge.

    The prizes for the Highest Check-outs went to Adrian Doherty {Meath} with a maximum finish from 170 and Sharon O'Brien {Kildare} with a finish from 133.
