hi all, just wondering if there's anyone in the same situation, i work full time but help out on a family farm weekends & evenings, would like to rent a few acres myself to get started. job very shaky, would like to go farming full time down the line. i missed out on the new entrants scheme for under 35. anyone hear if this was going to be reactivated?

I'm afraid it seems to be very much on the back burner at the moment, certainly no prospects of it being revived in the next 12 months, same with the early retirement scheme

They briefly re-opened the early retirement scheme last year to allow people who were midway through the process to finish it, but I'd take that as a real nail in the coffin for it. I'd assume the installation aid scheme is as doomed, which I think is a pity, given the one-off nature of the payments.
