Sky+HD box crashes during FF

My Sky+HD box has started to do something a bit annoying, when fast forwarding it often will start to fast forward, then it will stop, but screen and box blue ring will keep going and then the drive will spin down and the box will switch off. If on the off chance it will stay running you won't be able to look at any…

My Sky+HD box has started to do something a bit annoying, when fast forwarding it often will start to fast forward, then it will stop, but screen and box blue ring will keep going and then the drive will spin down and the box will switch off. If on the off chance it will stay running you won't be able to look at any channel (all blue), the guide will work, but you won't be able to play anything. As an aside the subtitles are now always about three seconds ahead of the picture.

Any ideas? (I have to plug it out and in to get it to come back again)
