I presume you mean spelling nazi?

Also, 'I live walking distance' is not the sentence structure of a grammar nazi.

Starting a sentence with the word also, is also incorrect.

Don't work... school's 11 miles away. About a half an hour drive, on a good day. Google tells me it'd take 3 hours to walk

ah, but I didn't claim to be a a grammar nazi! It's not 'incorrect' though, just doesn't read well, with the comma it is fine to use.

also, saying "also, is also" is also saying something that is also frowned upon.

Commute to college takes about an hour and a quarter on a good day, three hours on a bad day.

I take the bus, hopefully be driving next year though, which will make my commute all of 15 minutes cos I can take the m50

I live 7 miles from college, it takes me anything from 40 minutes to 2 hours to get there by bus, I could run it in just over an hour.

Five minutes and on foot. Woo Hoo. Less than a month ago it was 25 minutes and on foot so it got a whole lot better. Just not for the girlfriend. Depsite the move she's still at least an hour away by bus........ hehe. I'm lucky, I know it.

It depends. Directly from my house to college campus, including walking time from my house to the station and the station to the campus is about one hour twenty minutes.

20 door to door if I'm in the car.

could prob get that down to a couple of minutes if you brought the other foot into the mix?

13km's. Blanch to city centre. 15-20 minutes good day. With this new 30kph limit and slower traffic 20-30, would take about that long if it's bad weather as well.

    7km.
    Work in the city centre.

If I take a bus, its about 20min
    Walk is 40min
    Drive is les than 10min

25km each way. Currently I cycle three days a week and drive the next two to conserve a bit of energy for a weekend cycle.

My commute to college is about 90 mins if I drive (rarely) or 40mins or so by bus then 20min walk.

I work for a shop in lotsa different branches so anywhere from 5 mins to an hours, usually by car but if it's town then bus and walk.

3km. 15 mins by bike; an hour by public transport; 30m driving; haven't tried walking but probably 45m. Bike wins!

Live on campus so at most it's around a five minute walk to class...

Right now, about 60m from my hut to the office. OK, actually about 100m, because I swing by the chow hall for breakfast, which is about 20m further up the base.

Routinely, 40miles in the car. Takes about an hour if there's not too much traffic.

Favourite commute, though, was 6 miles through the city centre each way. Doesn't sound unusual, but trust me, commuting in a tank is kindof fun. Did it for about a month. (Plus you aren't necessarily confined to the normal traffic rules, such as staying on the road. Rather handy when there's a line of cars in front).

    NTM

It is a mix of buses & Luas, live quite far away from work so normally takes me 2 hours to 2.5 hours to get home. I do like where I live though :)

Use to be 22 miles each way then they built the ashbourne by pass and now its 25 miles. although it use to take me 45min on a good day and now it takes 35 so wooo!

Actually thats what it use to take. I am a carer now so it takes me 3 secs to go to work and I am always on call.

I would prefere the old way anyday.

4.5km (as the crow flies). Takes anywhere from 45min-60mins by bus (depending on traffic). Possibly one of the slowest journies by public transport anywhere in the country. I'd get a bike if I didn't think some fecker would end up running me down in traffic.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,183 ✭✭✭✭Atavan-Halen

I live about a 25-30 min walk from school but I usually drive, which takes the same amount of time due to traffic :P

40km bus journey each way to college. 20-ish metre walk to work.

    Morning
18 minute walk from home to bus stop
35 or 50 minute bus journey (depending on if I take the 7.20 or the 7.30 bus)
10 minute walk from bus stop to my desk

    Evening
3 minute walk from desk to bus stop
50 to 60 minute bus journey (depends on traffic)
18 minute walk from bus stop to home
