UPC Messages (interactive on info channel)

    just noticed a new service on the info channel called upc messages

    its a red button service with information and news on products and services

    i wonder if this is a sign of things to come

    Not on the old boxes - noted channel 999 is now info TV casis

    btw - if they can do interactive on their info channel then there is NO excuse for not having the same on eg BBC

    The software is different on each digital platform.

    BBC had to create software for Sky Freesat Virgin and Freeview these are all British systems.

    BBC will not spend money on UPC Ireland.

    I agree with you but BBC don't include Ireland on the weather forecasts even so I can't imagine them writhing a software version for an Irish cable platform.

    according to Wikipedia the BBCs total income (2008–2009) is £4605.4 Million
    so according to you upc pay them £46,054.00
