If your Sky box happens to be faulty and you have to have it replaced, it's a 'refurbished' box you get and technically not a new one!

My story, my box went faulty after 4 months and I got information they were not giving back brand new boxes, technically second hand one's, so I requested the new box and gat it.

Just wanted to let people know that.

Is this practice fair? I think its unfair that you could have bought a brand new box (which goes faulty) then practically get a secong hand one back...although tbh you would never guess.

If they had to hand out brand new boxes every time a box broke down they would end up tossing a load of perfectly serviceable boxes in the bin and clearly this would lead to increased charges.
