Just wondering what can be done in this scenario:

Person A has car for sale.
Person B wants to buy car.

Person A only has the car a week or so, log book gone to shannon to change into his details.

Person B buys the car off person A but the log book is only sent to shannon for person A.

Person A wants to head out of the country cos of change of circumstances so when they get the log book back more than likely they will not be in the country anymore. Is there some sort of form Person A can fill out for change of ownership with out the log book?

Person B waits for the registration to be officially registered to Person A unless he is a gob****e :D

its the truth, why would you want to hand over cash when the log book isint even available to inspect the details of, nevermind fill out.

why cant you wait for the log book to arrive to person A, it only takes a week.

Why buy a car that someone is flogging after one week? Is that the genuine story? Maybe its stolen?
Its possible you are buying from a part time unregistered trader who couldnt get his hands on the car at auction or from private seller without registering it to himself. Tht is the best case. Either way, dont dream of handing over any money with the log book being available.

Not stolen. Its a genuine story. Took the car as a trade in on his own car as he thought it would be easier to sell. Parked up in a garage since its purchase.
