    Hi,
Had a go at fitting a parrot ck3100 to the car, its got the standard 159 stereo (no bose or blue&me kit). I can get it plugged in, there's radio sound to the speakers and looks like power to the blue parrot box but other than that there's not a squak out of the bluetooth display unit (wont ever power on)

Anyone got any experiance fitting these to 159s?

There's an ICE forum on Alfaowner-you should get an answer there.

Have you tried parrot.com they have support there. ITS unusual if their is power goin into the kit the display wont come on. Is your phone finding the kit when you try and pair..

Yeah, they've 156 instructions, but it involves swapping wires, dont want to cut stuff before I'm sure...

I installed a nokia kit last week end in my Passat. I wrote a how to here

How do you know there is power going to the Parrot Box? Have you checked with a multimeter both the constant 12v supply and switched 12v supply. Is it grounded?

Might be worth you while checking the input schematic on your radio to make sure everything is correctly connected. It sounds as if only the speakers are correctly connected.

Aye multimeter, supposedly you should be able to plug it straight in with out any hastle lol (the 156 installation could involve splicing in the kits power to the cars loom, Alfa's version of ISO may not be the same as everyone elses.), double check everying tomorrow.

It's rare with the 3100 (more common on the 3200), but sometimes the display is a dud and just doesn't work.

Is the wire in to the back of the display "hard wired" in, or is it detachable? If it's detachable and you know someone with the same kit, try swapping the displays. If it's not detachable and you have the correct voltages showing for the rest of the kit, I'd take it back to where you bought it.

Turns out I've to run a switched +12V to it from the cigarette lighter :( Now to try and get the center console out, might just leave it and get another one that works off the stereo loom, things are never simple lol.

Same issue affects aftermarket stereos installations in the 156/147/GT.....
