Where can I get a good strong one that won't jam it's gears all it's life for when I'm DIY'n on the car?
Bought a few of them over the years and they just seem to break or seize and I cannot select clockwise or anticlockwise anymore... I have millions of sockets so it's the wrench on it's own I want... Halfords ones are a joke and flimsy.

    Thanks

Wouldn't agree with that, the Halfords Pro range are very good and take abuse, I recently had reason to use the smallest ratcher (1/4" drive) in conjunction with a 2 metre long breaker bar and it performed admirably :)

Try and get an infinite ratchet, that way in a tight space with limited swing you will always be able to turn the fastener, some ratchets are very coarse and won't turn a nut in a5deg swing.
Tufftools are quite good in my experience.
