problem with door on skoda

    i have a 05 skoda octavia the rear passanger side door wont open, durning a hard frost i opened the door & when i went to close the door it would not stay shut , i closed the door over & locked the car with the remote now this door will not open from outside or inside the child lock is not. i searched the web on door panel removal and it seems the door needs to be open to remove the panel any advice please!!

    lock the car fully, bang the door hard with your fist a few times approx around where the lock is, then unlock the car fully with the remote(2 clicks) then see if it opens, you may need to do it a few times.




  • you will need to replace the motor that operates the lock. As previous poster said try his way first to get the door open
