Facebook constant homepage redesign - opinions?

    I'm a self confessed Facebook addict.. although when I think about it, Im actually more addicted to knowing what my friends are up to. The photo updates are great too.

    Whats really annoying me is the constant change for the worse with the homepage. This live feed / news feed is a load of rubbish. I got around it by moving my status updates option to the top of the list which meant I would only see the status updates on my homepage. I could click to see the latest photos then - ideal. I've ignored or blocked all the apps I can because I just cant stand the farmville, hit me with a pillow, muck.

    Now.. on the latest change, they've removed the option to only see status updates on the homepage. Its really frustrating.

    I hope some day theres an alternative to facebook that prioritises the status updates and photos facility. I know this is essentially facebook lite but I've noticed that today at least, that site isnt working at all.

    Why do the facebook powers that be remove the essentials from the homepage like this?

    Seriously more face lifts than Janice Dickinson/Stallones mother and Liza Mannellis ex all put together.

    I'm annoyed the toolbar along the bottom is gone. It was useful on whatever page you were on, not just your homepage.

    I don't get it, it's not like they're small updates far apart, it's almost like every week, what have they done now type thing.

    Augh is all.

    I don't really mind the new one, cept that the Live feed takes a load of refreshing to get any sort of proper chronological order to it.

    And I've never understood the news feed. What's it for anyway? Always seemed just all over the place to me.

    All I want is the status updates and photos! I dont think that sits well with the objectives of the facebook powers that be though.

    I agree wholeheartedly the latest changes are awful. I miss my shortcut icons at the bottom and news feed is woeful. Its all over the place.

    All they seem to have done is moved stuff around result its now worse than before.i would think they did it all very quickly then announced we have this great new redesign wow come see it etc..

    Instead why couldnt they have actually spent some time on getting it properly good.

    The main difference is they've removed the option to filter all the muck on the home page and just see status updates. I know you can go through the friends link and then status but the option to have it as the home page was good. Why remove it?
