Polar Watch, Help needed

Hey guys,

Sorry if this has been posted elsewhere

I have an RS200 and use it most days when training


The battery is starting to die and i was wondering how to get it replaced with it being a sealed unit and all.

Can I get it done at a watch shop or one of those battery places like in the square and stephens green or does it need to go back to polar???

I've always had to send my Polar (S150) back to Polar themselves for the battery to be refitted. There's a service form somewhere on the Polar site and if you send it off you'll have it back in about a week or ten days. Cost about 15Eu from what I remember last time.

To ensure the water resistance properties and the use of qualified components, We always recommend that the Wrist Receiver battery be replaced only by a service center authorized by Polar. At the same time a full periodic check of the Polar Heart Rate Monitor will be done.

I changed my battery on my RS400 myself. A word of warning though, I lost all the settings and all saved excercises.

has anyone used this recently? am trying to get battery replaced on my Polars725X and footpod isnt working either but cabt find any ireland dealers and i submitted a request to the UK contact center before but they never got back to me

Anyone help?

I got my RS200 re-batteried in the UK last September - they were slow enough to respond to emails and in getting the watch back. I think I paid about €22 all in.

They charge a fortune. The battery can be replaced in a jewellers. It affects the waterproof seal but there's no problem going into the shower after. If memory serves me right I swam with it after changing the battery but don't hold me to that. I ended up going to the jewellers because I hadn't the patience to wait the two weeks for it to come back. Here's the weblink. They claim they're down to a 7 day turnabout now.

I returned my rs200 10 days ago to Polar Uk to fix (issue with Led display, have had battery replaced before last year)

But allow 1-2 weeks before you get it back... expensive and slow for the piece of mind.
