Olympia Pit Passes

Hey! Going to a concert tonight in Olympia Theatre. Doors at 7.30.

Anyone know what time organisers are likely to give out pit passes?

I've rang Olympia but haven't gotten through. MCD site says it's nothing to do with them.

The Olympia is so small, there is no pit. There's the standing area and the balconies.

They do a small pit for some gigs. Generally the drill is that you get there early, queue for ages and if you're one of the first ones in and you make a run for the pit as soon as you enter, you'll get a pit pass.

Before the wif and I got married, we went to a gig at the Olympia where there was a pit. I queued outside for ages with some friends and she arrived just before the doors opened because she was working. I thought she would've understood the above "plan" but as soon as we got in, I legged it to get a pit pass and she went straight for the loo. When I realised what she'd done, I grabbed her as soon as she got out of the loo and brought her over to the pit but the passes were all gone by then.

There were pit passes for Faith No More and also for Placebo. Apparently Placebo passes were handed out at 4...

Any other ideas??

Arrived in the queue at 6.30. They started letting people in both doors at 7, we went in the nearest door and got a pit pass before the other half

Got a setlist from the bouncer and I caught a plectrum. So it was my lucky night

I often view this as the early worm gets caught...
