Dell laptop power adaptor

Hi all,

Up in dublin, but left my dell latitude D830 power adaptor down the country, is there any place in Dublin where I could get a replacement - preferably on the northside or city center.

I had trouble trying to replace a damaged power cable a while back. No joy in PC world but they recommended repair place out in Cabinteely where I got a 'universal adaptor' for about 60 euro. That is expensive but maybe not so as it comes witha set of dozen or so connections to fit all types of laptops so have been able to reuse on other laptops.

Getting a Dell item over the counter seems difficult!

Thanks for info and thanks for the offer banaco. Back in work now, so got sorted.

For information for others I rang a few places, pc world was 80+ for a universal power adapter, random small computer place 100+ for a universal and Maplin was 79 for a dell power adapter. In the end I considered it too pricey and not urgent for a weekend replacement.

i think my XPS charger has just packed it in. Im getting a beeping noise and no lgiht. Anyone hardly have one for the XPS 1530 they aint using anymore? Willing to give the price of a few pints for it if anyone does have one.
