I normally take that to mean they don't like me, I don't know why.. gut instinct

It's easier to just presume everyone doesn't like you until you hear them say words to the contrary (and even then you shouldn't always take these words at face-value).

There's a very simple test op.

All you have to do is ask that person if they like you.

If they say yes then that usually means they like you.

If they say no that usually means they don't like you.
