Dodgy window wiper on new car

    Hi guys,
so I have a new 2010 car. I noticed a couple of day (due to the return of the rain) that the window wipers were kinda shuddering across the window. After a few days of this, today I went to a dealer down the road from where i work to complain (I bought car in another dealer).
He said he the car is under warranty and he said (hope this still stands) that he has no problem ordering new blades if I need them but he thinks that where I bought the car from, that when they pulled off the plastic off the window, they never cleaned it, hence leaving residue and the window a bit sticky.
He suggested a good wash (and some wax ) and in the mean time he will order the blades in case this doesnt work.
Has anyone ever heard of this? Am I doing the right thing? Am clueless bout cars. Didnt even know they came with a plastic covering.

Either way, it looks as though you're going to be sorted so happy days.

Ah sorry just realised when I looked back at the post, I am wondering if this has happened to anyone before, and what products are best? Am hoping to go to a car shop at lunch time tomorrow to get something.

I use Autoglym glass polish, costs about €6 out of Halfords - very happy with finish I get off it.

Its also possible that the wiper arm was slightly bent or something before delivery. Try the glass polish but if there is any hint of a problem after that, I would say investigate for faulty parts or damage. Maybe its just a Toyota though!
