Ok, first off im not a runner or an athlete, and i guess im in the wrong forum, but it is an injury that is found within this sport(s). If mods want to move it, go ahead, but i really really want some of ye to help me.

Right, so yesterday i had a match and injured the back of my ankle:(:(, which i suspect is the achilles tendon. Im not really looking for a cure or any of that, just help to get me by another very very very important match THIS SUNDAY!!!!!!!(which i am NOT GOING TO MISS)

So any tips on strapping it up for sunday, any techniques???......im icing it every few hours etc etc....i think i might use different boots......are there soles you can bye cheap, like not specialised, and where?

P.S i am not going to the physio because he will just tell me not to play, and i know im going to injure it more on sunday, so it will kind of be a waste of money.

I wouldnt play if I were you, you coudl do serious damage and if it goes 5 mins into the game your not doing your team any favors either.

It's your prerogative if you want to knowingly injure yourself by playing on Sunday and not seeking professional's help, but as adivised above, it'll be useless to both you and your team.

Any other medical advice of this nature, other than seeking a professional's opinion is not allowed as per charter:
We do not give out medical advice. Injuries may have common symptoms but are unique to the individual - just because you were able to keep training with X injury or were out for months because of Y doesn't mean that the same will apply to someone else. Bad advice given here and followed through could aggravate an injury and prevent an athlete making a full recovery in as rapid a time as possible.
