Just Thought I'd spread the word if it's ok with the mods.

    http://www.gmrfm.com/home/2010/2/2/game-for-haiti.html

GMRFM in association with the Xtreme Gaming Centre and Unicef will be hosting a charity event in the Xtreme Gaming Centre on Sunday 21st February from 12pm. Four members of the GMRFM team will be gaming non-stop for 24 hours (yep NO breaks) to raise money for the children of Haiti. The event will be live streamed on the site, and we want YOU to come along and play with us.

The Xtreme Gaming Centre will be donating a percentage of all memberships on the day to the cause, and have come up with some special bonuses for those who register or top up their membership.

    How can you help?

You can help in two ways. You can visit our fundraising page on the Unicef website to make a donation. All donations will go straight to Unicef.

Or you can come in and play with us on the day. The minimum membership fee is €10 for 600mins on consoles (normally 300mins) or 800 mins on PC (normally 500mins), a percentage of the membership fee will be donated to the cause.

Get involved. Do YOUR part for the children of Haiti

One question...what % goes to charity?

But good stuff and best of luck with it!

30% and are giving double the time you'd normally get for a membership (almost double on the PC). Which isn't too shabby.

    Just a quick update.

Ubisoft have confirmed they will be supporting the event. They will be providing games for a raffle/auction on the day.

Sony have also sent us some copies of MAG, which will be available in the centre for people to play.

We should (hopefully) have another major sponsor for the event by the end of the week.

Hope to see some of you there.

Nah, you are thinking of extreme videogaming.

I wouldn't say for 24 hours, maybe more than that. Besides we'll be fully rested and prepaired, and we have to go for bathroom breaks so we should get to streach our legs from time to time.

I'm sure we'll be shattered, but we should be able to walk out of there :)

Just an update to confirm that we have a new sponsor for the event. Microsoft have kindly given us an Xbox 360 console and 10 games to give away as prizes.

We'll also be announcing the winners of the PS3 games competition on the day aswell. Which you can still enter.:D

Hope to see some of you there and thanks for the support.
