Apple ceased signing 3.1.2 firmware today, which means that Apple will no longer activate the 3.1.2 firmware for use on 3GS and iPod touch 3G.
If you have an iPhone 3GS or iPod touch 3G on 3.1.2 and want the ability to downgrade back to 3.1.2 in future then make sure you have backed up your ECID SHSH signatures through Cydia or Rock. Users of these devices who haven’t backed up their signatures in this way will be stuck at 3.1.3 if they are forced to restore.

afaik i have my shsh on file at cydia hq, great.....
so how do i go about restoring my 3.1.2 if and when i have to, without out being forced to upgrade to 3.1.3 and re-activate my phone

Damn, I just clicked "make my life easier" in Cydia in the hopes of being able to restore to 3.1.2 if I need to - then I read Saurik's twitter:

"Apple's TSS server stopped signing 3.1.2 today, so if Cydia does not state that you have 3.1.2 SHSH's on file yet you are now too late :(".

    Damn.

On the plus side, this will now force a quicker new jailbreak/unlock solution from the devs.

k found the answer as no body has bothered to post, so here it is if anybody needs to restore their iphone and re-activate their phone without being forced to take the 3.1.3 upgrade, but you must of sent your ecid shsh' hash to sauriks server the first time you started cydia, you would of been offered to, if not, you will have to wait for a new jailbreak and hope you dont need to restore in the meantime
