Cant do the 5k on 14/3 in the city centre so looking for another one anytime in march (or latest early April). Have checked the usual AAI, runireland, racepix and cant find one but hoping i ve missed one.

I know the le cheile one is on in early may but want to run one before that.

There was mention of one around malahide castle (john Davis) but no firm details as yet.

    Any help appreciated.

I believe there's one in Portlaoise on March 17th at 11am.

Thanks, that will do perfectly. seen fun run first of all and was worried then seen includes laois senior championship so should be well run.

Dont suppose you know what the course is like?

I think it takes place on Sunday 21st March in Glaslough, Co. Monaghan, run by Glaslough Harriers. Usually starts with kids races from about 1pm, the senior 5k is at 3pm. Is a nice course, and well organised. Worth considering.

Last year it was on a very unspectacular out and back route, up and down a biggish hill at the start but then pretty flat and straight after that.

But that was because there was a big match on that day, normally the course is more interesting. One long (but not at all steep) dragging incline before half way but I'd say pretty fast overall.

The course changed last year, but I think it will be the same again this year and if it is well this is it here (I'm not sure but the starting point could be back further, but that is the general route anyway):

You can see from the elevation going out there is a bit of a hill but its pretty nice coming back in and good for some interesting finishes.

I can do up the old route from the previous years if you would like, but I think the new route is going to be done again. I can check it out at the weekend anyway to make sure.

Yeah it will incorporate the laois senior road championships so competition should be pretty decent. Not sure if the likes of Michael Mulhare will be running but he probably should be.
