Sky+ jumping

Why has my sky+ recently started to jump away on something that i have recorded, gets really bad to the point you cant watch it or it sticks. It keeps stalling and losing sound. Does anybody know why this would be happening?

could be a general problem with the box...

hopefully not....

have you rebooted the box? power it off/on and see if that resolves it

do you have a cordless phone? - this can cause a problem on certain channels

i was unable to watch RacingUK on Sky - eventually figured out it was due to the cordless phone

if you have one as a test just switch it off and your sky picture/recordings will return to normal
