Going on this article sony may charge to use PSN like xbox live.

I own both consoles and i have to admit ,i doubt ill support it.They should have chosen to charge at the launch of PSN and not half way through. At least xbox was upfront before i bought the console so i knew all the costs that id have to pay after i bought the console.

Secondly and more importantly,PSN online is shocking in comparison to xbox live.
Half the time its like playing with the computer since only very few have the headset for a ps3.
Talking to people is now where near as good on the ps3
The PSN marketplace is all over the place as well. For example i like the way everything is sorted on xbla and the fact that every new game that comes out has a demo to try out first.
I could go on but you get the idea..Ill just revert back to my xbl if they introduce that..im already regretting codmw2 on the ps3 because of this and the fact that it feels no where as good on the ps3 compared to xbox 360 online

    My rant over

This comes up every few weeks.

PSN will not be a subscription service. The idea is to have subscription services added to PSN. i.e. You "subscribe" for extra benefits. Gaming and the usual stuff there will be free as per usual, but maybe games or DLC stuff will be "free" if you subscribe alongside other services.

Use the search function to find other threads similar. I'm closing this because, like other threads like it, it's bound to become a flame-fest.
