Somehow, I wish they could both lose.

Nice to see Johno throwing caution to the wind :D

Thats a strong English team, have they FINALLY realized what a talent Tait is?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,645 ✭✭✭Webbs

A bit of role reversal on last 30years with England likely to play expansive and Wales looking to take them on upfront (though loss of Rees is big blow to this)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,549 ✭✭✭Noffles

Rees will be missed, shame.... Surprised to see Cooper start thought... nice to see Roberts and Hook in centre, they should be a good pairing... the rest is fair enough I suppose... Looking a the English team they look like they are going to play an attacking game... we seem a little "meh"....

I'm just not able to get myself going at the moment, "till Saturday comes I suppose"...

Gethin Jenkins now out with a calf injury.... Paul James in.... We're going to miss Jenkins for a prop he gets around!!

Riki Flutey has been ruled out of the England game with Toby Flood taking his place.
Looks a very lightweight center partnership can see Wilkinson being asked to do a lot of tackling

Flood isnt too bad a tackler, but I can see Jamie Roberts going through them a few times tbh.

Big blow to England's chances of producing an upset.

Don't know about that, I mean how much game time has Flutey got in the last few weeks?
On the other hand with he out, England have no "stepper" in the centers, ie: to attact the inside shoulder.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,106 ✭✭✭andrewdcs

Hook and Roberts are going to have a field day running at that, given half a chance.

Don't get me wrong, I think England are going to beat Wales (just) tomorrow, but Flutey's absence makes it harder. just a massive game first up...whoever looses tomorrow, the seasons going to look grim, no grand slam, no triple crown...the 6N is a cruel mistress and no mistake....

Yep, it's going to be a tough one. But but despite because of the young pretender Flood being in the team with Jonny I like the look of things. England expects......!

Wales look better in attack so far, England going backwards when they have the ball.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 45,433 ✭✭✭✭thomond2006

Gareth Cooper is terrible, second time he has kicked the ball away.

What are the odds of a draw?

As an Irish fan, it would be the perfect result.

What's up with the England jerseys

Centenary of the RFU - replicas of the old shirts (just tighter!)

England up at half time, could be an interesting second half. England look the better team, I don't see Wales doing much unless Roberts and Hook getting a lot of good, quick ball.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 7,352 ✭✭✭funky penguin

I wish we could get jerseys like them, nice mix of old and new.

Hoping for a more up tempo second half here!

Crap game so far. Nothing to worry about if these two play like this when Eire play them. What's with the replays looking all brown? Is that another centenary thing? The shirts are very poseriffic alright.

"the big hairy prop has popped up to score" - George Hamilton you're a legend!

Glad I have Jones on at least one of my fantasy teams!

Having a white shirt in Rugby is silly, they just look 'puke green' now.

Bad decision by Rolland - never touched the welsh players hand or arm. Should have gone upstairs. Give us an interesting game!!!!

3 ponts in it and 8 minutes to go, should be an interesting finish, mantra for both teams has to be no mistakes and play the territory
