Would anyone care to share their recipe for Beef Bourguignon? I had a lovely recipe, but can't find it. I tried a Delia Smith one, but it just wasn't the same.

So if anyone has a tried and trusted recipe, I'd appreciate it.

They had one on Market Kitchen Monday. Can't attest to its quality, but it looked good and they seemed to like it

Probably going to cook this at the weekend.

Don't know where I'll get the 24 small onions though....

I've tried Gordan Ramsay's Beef Bourguignon recipe before and served it with mash and it was great.

Tom Doorley wrote an article about trying to follow Julia Child's recipe for Beef Bourguignon. It's a good read and helped me understand the purpose of all the ingredients that go in (which makes it easier when you need to substitute ingredients!).

That was a really intersting article.

I made Juila Child's beef bourguinon on New Year's Eve and my tiny kitchen looked like a bomb had hit it. It was crazy.

It turned out tasty in the end but it was a bit of an undertaking. She also has a recipe for garlic pureed potatoes in it that went really well with the beef. I'd highly reccommend that you make them too to go with the beef!

I did cook this yesterday. I used rib steak instead of shin and normal mushrooms instead of those horrible little button ones. It was lovely, went down very well with the 4 of us and there's enough left for dinner this evening for 2. Not bad considering the all the ingredients cost less than a tenner excluding the wine. The beef was falling apart which was great.
