The Wolfhounds game will be broadcast on BBC red button access (BBC Northern Ireland coverage).

Only on satellite/cable and not Freeview which makes it more difficult to record as it has to be done manually.

how come a lot of the media are insisting with Ireland 'A' rather than the new name?

Just takes time to take up. Like the new logo. A lot of mainstream media still use the old IRFU logo in their pieces on the team, for example.

The name wasn't actually in place for the last 'A' game, I will mention. The launch was made towards the game at Ravenhill.

I really unsure of "wolfhounds", but the Pumas, Saxons, Maori, etc. etc. seems to work to raise the profile of the second string teams (who are often fantastic to watch)

Can't think of a genuinely inclusive nickname. A it shall be.

The Pumas are the Argentina test side. I think their A team are known as the Jaguars.

Which is also a mistake in itself, the Argentina Crest has a Jaguar on it and not a Puma.

Yep, they should have been called Jaguars.

I wonder if they call their ladies team the Cougars? :)

BBC red button is available on 3 digital platforms FTA Satellite/Cable/DTT (Freeview) but unfortunately BBC in order to make space for HD on the DTT platform removed one of their interactive streams on Freeview (302). Result is that if the one remaining stream (301) is taken up with other interactive material (as it is on Friday night) then they cannot show all their sport on Freeview that they show on satellite/cable. This causes a problem for those wishing to record the rugby as you cannot use full facilities of Sky + and have to manually record the rugby which is extremely difficult if like me you're out of the house when recording takes place.

    Cheers for that.
I've got all the mod cons for recording it myself anyway. I work at the home games and tend to miss the Tv coverage and its repeats. Only a short while ago I got to finally watch last year's game vs France! Have everything in place so the next day is sorted

I've streamed GAA games on this before and the quality has always been excellent, others have had problems so it seems to be a bit location dependent
