Mickey Rourke in "A Prayer Before Dying" was quite bad

Yeah Tom Cruise and Mickey Rourke would be top of my cringe list. "It's all bluud farrrrer"

Check out Sean Bean's IRA accent in "Patriot Games" with Harrison Ford. Terrible.

By the way did anyone think Johnny Depp's Irish accent was perfect in Chocolate ? (And I'm not gay)
Also Brad Pitt's travellers accent in "Snatch", I read he lived with them to pick up the accent. Irish people can make it out no bother, but british and americans had to get sub-titles. Hilarious.

beaten to far and away, by far the worst. Some of the accents in boondock saints are very poor.

Has anyone seen that "irish" movie with Eddie Griffin?

Depp was Irish in that? Jesus, I haven't seen that in years.. must re-watch.

Anyway, the subtitles bit re: Snatch is bull, the first hundred times I watched that movie, I did so in Canada, and there were no subtitles involved.. so I'd imagine the same would be the case in the States and Britain.

It was a bit hard to understand but you basically got the idea after awhile.

The entire cast of 'Ardenray Daycent Crimnel' in my book, for some bizarre reason half the cast decided that a Dublin accent was either too hard, or unrecognizable to an American audience and decided these hardened inner city Dublin criminals should speak with a Norn Iron accent.
