    Hi everyone,

For a final year marketing project myself and four other students are carrying out a marketing analysis of Paddy Power. In order to gain a greater insight into the industry, Paddy Power, their success and to evaluate their marketing effectiveness we are carrying out a survey.

We would be grateful if you could fill out this short online survey:
    http://www.kwiksurveys.com/online-survey.php?surveyID=BBHLN_662ddc64

Also we would like your opinions on Paddy Power; why choose them over other bookmakers, is their marketing effective and does it affect your decision making regarding who you gamble with?

Thanks for your time and help!

Just a side q - have you contacted PP? They are very receptive to guys like yourself doing research. A friend of mine did part of his masters on PP and an interview with one of their staff. It's in DIT library. I'm not sure if it was marketing related.

What I don't like about their web site is that their prices don't update quick enough. just about everytime you click on a price, it says

"The price for your selection has changed..."

    Wrecks my head!

What I like about PP in general - they guarantee prices on multiples

    good website - varied bets

    great guerilla marketing in general!

type p into google - what comes up! tells u somethin!

PaddyPower is nowhere near my Google results when I type in "P".

The only problem I would have with Paddy Power is the speed of the Betslip and indeed the pace in which you can remove your selections. It's a little delayed but sure if that's my only concern with them, then I've nothing to complain about :D

    Cheers in advance.

i have a big problem with pp regarding pricing and to be fair it's just them it's pretty much industry wide

i back on golf mainly and always archive prices for big tourneys like the masters and track their movement
what i found was that when a player wins a tourney during the year his price for the majors was changing on occasion,i don't have a problem with that as obviously there's been a few quid put on,my problem is fancied players who were missing the cut in the same comp were not having their price extended at all

Doesn't mean his price should be lengthened. He is expected to miss a couple of cuts no matter who it is, so it's already factored in. One missed cut doesn't automatically mean he is worse golfer than he was the week before. The difference a win can have in terms of confidence is much more significant.

I agree with that statement on several other sites also. If you are betting multiples, or live betting sports events, one will change before the timed bet is allowed. So you start again, waiting for the time to count down again. Then another price changes so you have to place your bet again. And then again... This often happens even when your odds have gone up in your favour.

And then you miss the start of an event and your choice wins without your money down so it is frustrating.

It should be simple enough for them to have a box you could check that will allow you to accept changes in the odds as you are wagering so that it doesn't delay your bet being placed. I'm sure it would take a lot of the frustration out of the wagering process.

yes it does mean his price should go out,the book should be consistant so that for each price that contracts one should go out, that's the correct way to price up but they don't seem to do it in golf especially
i accept a win is more important than a missed cut but i'm talking about top players who in general don't miss cuts very often at all

I don't think you are right here. There is no right way to price up. Bookies can choose what percentage book they use. Particularly on a big book like golf where it's probably around 125% or something they have a big edge anyway.

They offer you a price, you either take it or not, simple as. Do the prices go out on betfair???

yes they do go out on betfair,i reckon you will see Rory's price for the masters go out slightly as a result of playing pretty crap this week on what is a real ball stricker's course.(see if i'm right, current price 26/28)

i'm not saying Rory won't win the masters,i think he'll be placed but i know a few people who lay him every single week(not G-mac:D)They'll push him out slightly to get a bit of interest

    Jayo... Womans point of view..
PP's site is an attractive site and very easy to use, although I agree with previous statements also regards price changes, this can be really annoying.
Not a big fan of their customer service tbh, I have rang them a few times looking for betting on certain thigs and have been told they will get back to me when they don't, and the event is then over.

Sooner they let you pick up cash from online betting out of your a/c in their offices the better, like alot of the top firms do, they've been saying it'll happen soon for months now, i dont go through my bank a/c and only put money in through the shop so tend to just gamble away what i win in the end, they obviously know this and thats why they're holding off doing it.
