What did you eat yesterday??

I was thinking about the state of my nutrition last night..

I have an awful diet, i know i do, and i know what to do to fix it but.....

It got me thinking that it would be interesting to see what others diets are like, a compare and contrast exercise if you will..

I think the most impartial way to do this is to outline what you ate yesterday as it'll catch people unawares, as anyone who has helped others with their diet knows, if people are aware in advance they will change their eating habits for the day in question...

    sooo... me yesterday

    2 cheese sandwiches
    pint of milk
    coffee
    3 biscuits
    2 slices of Four Star
Spag Bol (about 400grams of mince)
    Litre of Milk

    Yesterday was a training day

    10x10 bench 87.5kg and 10x10 Reverse Grip BORs 72.5kg

    i'm 5"11 and 99kg ;)

During the summer was the last time i got decent amounts of protein and was training hard and i went from 92ish to 100kg

    et toi??

EDIT: Diets posted should not be used as templates, unless otherwise stated, if you need advice then start a thread and you'll get the help you need :)

oooh typing in bold i feel all modly...

    Yesterday was not a good day for me;
Brekfast-50g of oats w/milk and small spoon of honey.
Lunch-8oz beefburger in bun and most of gf's fries.
4 slices of bread, ham and corn beef.
some avacado cheesecake/mousse crap (never getting recipes from t-nation again)
a shake w/ milk before bed.

Was at least max effort squats yesterday, hadn't any fast food for at least two weeks before yesterday I think.

hello stranger...re: diet, how very diciplined of you

hello dahling :D That's what I eat Monday through Friday without much variation - I make up lunchboxes first thing in the morning and store them in the kitchen in work. Weekends can be a different story though and I tend to eat whenever the mood takes me - that might be a lot or a little though and I would still eat decent stuff, just more or less of it. One thing I'm not getting enough of right now is green vegtables, but when I start eating more salads again that'll be remedied quick smart.

I've really lost the taste for takeaways and calorie heavy foods.

Except chocolate. I do love my chocolate :o

i would be slow to post my own diet, mainly in case anybody looking to lose weight might think it was a good diet! I train hard most days so I can get away with it to a point. I eat loads of vegetables and have porridge and fruit for breakfast but after that it goes downhill, some days it would make the diet posted by L look good :o

edit: go on so, here goes:

7 am - banana and coffee
    gym ...
9 am - big bowl of porridge, brown scone, apple.
    11am - latte
1 pm - potato, carrots, brocolli, chicken, gravy and coleslaw
5 pm - pack of skips + wispa gold + diet coke :o
7.30 pm - rashers, tomato, beans, and lots of toast
8 pm - two cans of heineken
    11.30 - bed

    12:00 - apple
    (12:30 - 9K lunchtime run)
2:00 - lunch of brown roll with mayo, thai chicken, lettuce, cheddar cheese and peppers

Wow... you absolute hero... best diet ever... i so wish i wasn't a destitute student!!

It's a lot of effort and a lot of cooking. I have to cook everything in bulk otherwise i'd never be away from the kitchen. And the biggest part is the financial strain. Costs me a fortune. Got a good deal on my weekly meat and eggs from the local butcher though so it's not as bad as it could be.

God yesterday wasn't so good. Ended up trying to stuff as many calories in as possible but didn't fare too well. Stayed at the GF's so ended up getting up late. Being a student rocks.

    1pm

    5 eggs scrambled with butter
    Litre of milk
Some cake thing from superquinn (not being vague but I've no idea what it was!)
    Melon & Grape mix thingy

    4pm

    Turkey and Relish Sambo
    Large Latte
    500ml Milk

    6pm

Spaghetti Bolognaise thing from college canteen place
    500ml Milk

    8pm

Roasted Salmon with Peas and Carrots
    Fruit Salad mix

    10-11pm

    Litre of Milk
Packet of Chocolate Brazil Nuts (Best things ever)

    12am

    Bed.

Usually I prepack my lunches for college and it involves more meat and more nuts but seeing as you asked for an honest days intake from yesterday I thought I'd post it up warts and all. Oh and I'll say it again, chocolate brazil nuts are AMAZING.

Trying to remember....brain's not functioning too well on the low levels of sleep.

Whey + oat pancakes + coffee for breakfast
    apple at around noon
late lunch (child related) beef stew + 2 slices of brown toast
    coffee + biscuit
evening meal: small amount of macaroni cheese, lots of brocolli, lots of sweetcorn
    greek yoghurt for evening snack

Not bad overall. Bit low on protein but I wasn't training yesterday.
