    Hi all,

    It's my first post!!

I've been scrolling through previous post before first posting this and most of them are relatively old so here goes.

My friends and I (three in total) are all aged 23 and we're heading to Santa Ponsa in Majorca on May 1st. I have a number of questions:

    1. Has anyone been there in May? Are all the amenities in full flow or are some things closed until June/July?

    2. Any idea of weather in May?

    3. Is the place a bit rough, ie fights etc?

    4. I've been to Lanzarote and the Irish are welcomed with open arms, is Santa Ponsa/Majorca the same?

    5. At 23 are we the older or younger side of the clientele out there?

I'd appreciate any feedback to my queries and also any additional information you may have from previous experiences.

    Thanks a lot

    C

Ill try and answer a few of your questions

1, I was there for the start of June, and it was quiet enough. Everything open but not overly busy

    3. Not really. Just have your wits about you and you will be grand. We never had an ounce of trouble when we were there. We did hear horror storries about Magaluf though

    4. I certainly experienced no problems with the locals. Very friendly

    5. You are near enough the perfect age We were 20 when we went there.

Make sure to spend at least one day in Palma. Lovely city....and have fun. You will love it

Another thing, is there a "strip" as such with bars and nightclubs or is Magaluf the place to be really?

Santa Ponsa is basically a bay, and there is long streets on each side with lots of good bars. One side of the bay has all the good bars and a few Irish bars. More than likely your apartments will be along this street. There were a couple of nightclubs, but they weren't exactly mad busy when I was there, and more than likely would not be too busy in May.
If you are into your mad all night nightclubs then Magaluf is definly the place to be. It is completly British but plenty of good night clubs. Only 10 mins by taxi will get you there, and taxis in Majorca are dirt cheap
