Tommy Gun model - where can I sell it?

    Hello All,

I'm sorry if this is the wrong place to ask, and if so, moderator please remove. I am intending to sell this full-size handmade (by me) wooden model of a Thompson 1928 sub-machine gun. It is all wood and has no moving parts - ideal for a stage prop or simply a wall hanger.

However, the rules of adverts.ie state that replica firearms are not allowed, and ebay refuses to let me sell it there. Can anyone suggest where I can put it up for sale?

    - Dan

I would try contacting a re-enactment group. That is pretty impressive for an all wood item.

Hi Dan,a bit of making in that, ver very nice. The following list is of some sites for the sale of arms(deactivated, replica, etc.) outside of the country and the first one is for the Living history website used by the re-enactors here,as far as I know theres a sales section on this.

That's a fantastic model danpatjoe! Are you sure you want to even sell it? It seems a shame to sell something which I presume you've spent a lot of time making!

Thanks for the advice, links and kind comments guys.

Yes, it took quite a long time to make (I had a lot more free time in those days before kids!). I made a couple of AK-47's too, but gave them away. I had held onto this one because it was the last one I made, but it's just taking up room at the moment... but then again, you may have a point - I'll probably never make another... might just hold onto it after all!

    Thanks again everyone! :D
