    hi guys , just wondering is there any truth in the wild speculation on certain forums , that were getting firefox.

    Well by getting firefox you mean: "the PS3 has been hacked, and once the hack is released we'll be able to install varying flavours of linux on to the PS3, which we will then be able to run firefox on", then yes, yes the PS3 is getting firefox.

    ....which we already could do anyways!

    My Ps3 has firefox on it, I havent booted into linux in roughly 2 years though!

    Well support for linux has been removed in the Slim, so the hack will just restore this ability that was in the original.
