I listen to Mark Kermode and Simon Mayo every week and really like it. I also gave 'Film Junk' a go but thought it was horrifically boring.

    Any recommendations ?

A few Scottish lads discussing films often while drinking. I enjoy it, might be worth a look:

Gave so many movie podcasts a try.. and most are terrible!

So I'd be interested in a few alright!

The guys at http://www.slashfilm.com/ do a pretty good one.

Kermode and Mayo for the win though!

The only podcast I'd recommend would be the Filmspotting one. Proper reviewing and easy listening. Unlike the Kermode podcast which has to be one of the worst out there. Surprised people still listen to it considering that the guy spends 90% of the show repeating the material he was spouting out in the previous week. I'm presuming they're still doing that cringeworthy "Hello to x" gag? Ughhh.

    But yeah, Filmspotting is good.

KCRW's 'the treatment' & 'the business' are worth a look.

I also love Kermode's podcast. I dont listen to any other film podcasts at the mo.

Its a pity the 2IGTV guys in Cork stopped their podcast. It was hilarious. I wouldnt be surprised if they are on boards.

Ah, the two lads that do the filmspotting one are irritating enough in their own way.

How so? Not fond of their accents?

I don't always agree with them (I'd be worried if I did) but they're far better reviewers than Kermode, by a good distance. Kermode has his own agenda, these guys don't. They're more interested in the review of the film whereas Kermode is worried that he might forget to say hello to someone or that he might forget to mention for the 1000th time that The Exorcist was the best film made of all time.

Listening to Kermode is like listening to Robert Downey Jr, only you don't get to see the smugness.
