Is it true that one off the girls in the Supossadly 1st Female MMA fight in N.Ire ( which its not) broke her toe training and is still fighting because there is so much publicity. I heard its her wee toe, would that make a big difference? Fair play to her if she is,:)

    Aisling will not be fighting.

It would be ridiculous to fight with a broken bone

Would you not just go and watch Coronation Street if you want drama and gossip? You won't find your talking point here, Aisling and Jason have been very forthright and honest and you need to check with whoever is supplying you with your "facts".

There is enough Bulls*#t flying around these boards at times without you not getting your facts right before posting!!
    • No one said it was the first MMA fight in NI, it would have been the first time 2 girls fought MMA in a cage in NI
    • Why would she fight with a broken bone, and why would we let her?
    Grow up...

sorry to sound stupid here, but has she broken her toe? Is the fight still on (without a broken toe i mean). im slightly confused if the fight is cancelled

on that note, when was there another female mma fight in northern ireland? just out of interest

god i feel sorry for her, its awful especially when its so close. I was gutted when i broke my arm in terms of not having the fight in feb.

she must feel awful having two fights cancelled. On the plus side there will still be more fights as long as we dont keep getting injured!

good clip. they would need to get their facts right though, shes not the only female fighter in northern ireland (typical journalists)

It takes some people awhile to come to grips with internet discussion groups, I'm sure if the majority of us looked back at some of our first posts on boards.ie & other similar discussion forum with any honestly we'd find some truely cringe worthy stuff.

When a newbie who is not in the loop visits a small tight knit community like the MMA & SD&MA forum's that learning curve can be a little steeper, and this is not directed at you at all, but some people should act with a little maturity & patience.

I think JuiJitsu does add valid points at times. Sometimes they are framed incorrectly.

    Hi all,

Yes I broke my toe :( devastated was not the word, poor Jason had to listen to me crying down the phone at him (not because it hurt, didn't care about the pain, but because I was really looking forward to this fight)
To be honest I still would've fought, but I don't think they'd let me take my crutches up with me haha. I'll still be going to watch Cage Contenders, so if any of you's see me hobbling along come up and say hi :)

your right, the pain you can deal with, its the training and the fight that is really hard to deal with! all the best and get better soon!

For some reason I've the scene from anchorman in my mind now!!

Injuries suck but at least your not going into a fight less than 100% you'll be glad you didn't try keep it secret come yer next fight.

She's got great flexibility and speed, fair play to her. I'm going to be looking out for her in the future. She's got the focus to make it through this setback.
