Hello, Currently have A PS3 Slim connected to an LG Scarlet (LG326000). Its connected by HDMI and running on 1080p. Often i get these flashing horizontal lines or interference. The sound cuts out for a second too. Its getting utterly most annoying now , Tried everything to fix it,

Its not the HDMI cable, or PS3 its the TV and it is 1080p compatible!, Its not faulty, this problem was present when the TV was made.

Just wondering has anyone had similar problems? or does anyone know how to update the firmware of the TV?

Ah, the joys of LG TVs...
This won't be much help, but if you do end up sending it back to them to get repaired, make sure that you send detailled information about what's wrong with it along with the TV.
LG are quite possibly the most retarded company I've ever had to deal with when RMA'ing a faulty product. They hung on to my TV for a month and a half then sent it back to me untouched when I had similar problems:rolleyes:

It is the TV. It's a problem with the TV connecting to the PS3 over HDMI cable it's called "handshaking", I get it every once in a while on my Samsung, but it go's away after 30 seconds or so. A firmware update for your TV may fix it.

True, I concluded after a week its known as a 'HDCP' (High definition content protection) ''Handshaking'' issue between the TV and the PS3.

I solved it by simply switching the HDMI from my PS3 from the first HDMI slot to the second, As the first HDMI slot is used for DVI-HDMI connectivity such as computers or laptops.

Hello, Im having problems when i turn on my ps3 it says theres no signal on my hdmi channel. I tried switching my hdmi cable into different ones .ie hdmi 1 2 + 3 but to no avail. I tried taking out the hdmi cable and jst using the normal 3colour cable(red, white + yellow) but still it says no signal on them channels either .ie ext 1 ext 2 + av. Anyone have a problem like this or know what the problem is. It has happened before but usually justs fixes itself after a few mins. cheers

Sounds like you need to reset the display settings. Hold the power button until it emits a couple of beeps when you're turning it on...
Might not work for the HDMI issue, but it should allow you to use the composite cable
