I know you can replace Gameboy Micro face plates if you want to jazz up your unit.

This is a little different though.

I bought one of those limited edition Famicom GBA micros a while back. It's a beautiful little thing, but the faceplate is quite scratched up. (And there's one really annoying scratch on the screen)

Is it possible to get a new Famicom styled face plate for it? I can't find one anywhere :(

I've seen a few faceplates on ebay but I don't think I've seen the Famicom ones. Have you tried play-asia? Although it's a long shot, also try email Nintendo, you never know :) Although additional faceplates were never released or officially supported in Europe for whatever reason.

Seems they had them on play asia (They were made to look like player II controllers rather than player I) but they've long since sold out.

They also had them on the Nintendo website but they're also long gone.

    Noes! :(

Looks like I'll have to try and fix it up myself with some metallic paint!

I'd give Nintendo an email. I'd be interested to see the response :)

I guess it's worth a try. Who knows, maybe they'll send me a Famicom instead for showing enthusiasm for their old products. :pac:

Cool stuff, you can have all of the polystyrene foam out of the box.
