QA Software Test Contract Work in London

    Hi all,

    I've spent the last 7 years working as a software tester mainly in financial services. I've recently finished a contract in dublin and am now hoping to make a move to london. I spent last thursday and friday in london and walked into a few agencies there with CV in hand but in truth didn't have too much success. Agencies on the positive side did say that banks are looking at rehiring. I've also mainly being using jobserve.co.uk but alas no real leads as of yet. I'd appreciate if anyone who has been down a similar path or who has tried IT contracting in London could recommend some good agencies over there or indeed any related advice.

    I'm contracting in Guildford in a different area of IT. Found my job via a recruitment consultant recommended to be on linkedin. Is there anyone you know working there in a similar area to that which you're targeting? A lot of the UK recruitment agencies/consultants are very specialised so maybe try find one specialising in testing?
