    Hey guys,

Heading to Australia in March, and I'm stopping off in London before going onto Singapore.

I land in LHR at 1950 and the flight onwards is at 2205

I've never been to LHR, and I understand it's a bit of a challenge getting between terminals in time !

Just wondering what's the quickest way to get from T1 to T3?

    Thanks !

    Dave

you walk from T1 to T3 underground, takes no more than 10mins... the delay would be if you had to move your own bags...
    best of luck.

There is a shuttle bus from T1 to T3 as well - check this out on their website.
Took this flight to Australia as well.
You'll be fine as the bags will have been taken in Dublin and you shouldn't see again until Australia so you will be nice and light.
Best of luck - final thing wear a tracksuit bottoms on the flights over.

If you're John O'Donoghue you could hire a limo for £450

Dave dont be worrying, as mentioned above you have 2 options (or the Dail speaker option :D) you can walk if you just have a carry on bag or just as easy to get the bus, it's extremely well signposted the only pain is going back through security :(

Cheers all ! :D I was told that it's a pain getting between terminals in Heathrow, but I guess I got lucky if I can walk between those two :)

I presume my bag will go straight through from Dublin to Sydney (?), so I won't be lugging that around

Taking the same route in 2 weeks.

Aer Lingus and Qantas have both stated that bags will be checked the whole way to Sydney.

So you have to go through security again on entering T3?

Is there no special route for connecting passengers who would have already cleared security at their first airport?

Nope. You have to leave one building and enter another.

Not sure I would go for the bus tbh, its probably quicker to walk as it is only about 10 minutes.

Terms 1,2 and 3 are easy at Heathrow (although term 2 is a pile of rubble at the moment) as you can walk, it becomes a pain when you have to go to T4 or T5 because that involves a train journey.

Actually, can someone confirm if there I'd a footbridge from car park 1a? If so it would be quicker going through the car park than through the tunnel...don't take my word for it though.
